“Some may say I am a cupcake addict, but I am an...extreme connoisseur and appreciate the fine art of cupcakes. I bake them, I decorate them, I eat them, I find new places to taste everywhere I go. After a big handful of cupcakeries, I have to say this is in the top 2 best. This is most certainly, the best in Tampa Bay, and beyond!
I have tried the Champagne Pear Bellini, the Cookie Dough, the Death By Chocolate, Tiramasu, Strawberry Shortcake and the Peanut Butter cupcake. I can say all of these are different, but all so wonderful. Elegantly decorated, thought provoking flavor combinations and impressive talent makes for a delicious experience.
The champagne pear bellini is quite a beauty, with a shimmery cream cheese frosting infused with light champagne topped with tiny edible pearls, and a very moist pink champagne and pear cake beneath.
The cookie dough cupcake is what dreams are made of. The icing is delicious, and like eating creamy (not overpowering or too sweet) icing heaven. The cake compliments well, and she uses tiny dark chocolate chips to create just enough bitterness to make the whole combination wonderful to the very last bite.
The Death by Chocolate is just that. Topped with dark chocolate shavings, it gives it a beautiful taste introduction and a sight to get your mouth watering. The icing is sweet, and chocolatey, but in no way overpowering. The cake, is just what you need, light and not too sweet. More you say? Yes, there is a chocolate fudge syrup hidden in the middle, to make a one-two punch to your heart and taste buds. It's like the bad boy we all want, but don't need.
If this isn't enough? This location is just the right size and houses cute cupcake themed items for sale, along with a mouth-watering display case, armed with a very informative and always pleasant gentleman.”

Anytime an establishment has a dairy-free option for those of us lactose-intolerant folks, I give them a thumbs up.
Today, I went in and got their vegan cupcake (coconut flavor with blueberries on top).
It was the highlight of my week. I have been craving something sweet for days and finally I found somewhere that is allergy friendly!”

“Hands down the best cupcakes I have ever had! The difference between this cupcake shop and all the others in the area is that Frostings not only has homemade cupcakes, but they are made from scratch, and you can most definitely taste the difference. They don't have that overly sweet, sugary grit to them, they are just delicious. The owners are super helpful and they almost always give me free stuff (cookie dough or a couple of the day old cupcakes). I would highly recommend Frostings etc to any cupcake enthusiast!”

“My now husband and I went into Frostings Etc. in late December trying to find a vendor for our wedding reception, which just took place this past weekend in Clearwater Beach, FL. We're from Brooklyn, and coming from NYC, we have pretty high cupcake standards. We read some reviews about Frostings and decided to give it a shot.
Joe, the owner, greeted us that December day and we enjoyed three cupcakes and a great conversation with him. He's from the Northeast and is our kind of guy. I read some other reviews on yelp about Joe's manner - c'mon people. Joe is the best.
For our wedding, we had the Pear Bellini, Cookie Dough, and dark chocolate guinness cupcake. All three flavors were delicious. The cupcakes here are heavier than other vendors, and the flavors are truly delicious.
Joe and Sharon were also willing to do some special things for our ceremony that Frostings doesn't normally do (we served muffins during our ceremony - it's an inside joke amongst friends). Joe and Sharon took on this project without question - now that's high quality customer service. Joe personally delivered the cupcakes and muffins the day of the wedding. Remember - we live in Brooklyn, so all of our interactions were via email or telephone, aside from that one day in December when we met. For anyone planning a DIY destination wedding, you know that it can be very nerve wracking. Joe's service was superb.
You should visit Frostings Etc. if you like cupcakes and good people because that's what you're going to find here.”

“Ever since I move in St. Pete, first thing I looked for was cupcakes!!! And tadaa!!! Until we stumbled upon this lil place, don't be deceived by its outside look all the goodness are worth finding inside. ;) What I like so much about their cupcakes is that the cakes are made moist, just perfect for my palate (depends on how you like yours ;) and their frostings are ideally made with just enough sweetness to it! Champagne pear bellini is my all time favorite, I would also recommend the Guinness beer, Banana cream, Pina colada and Death by Chocolate.. these are by far my favorite choices. Every time I go home to visit my family in California, not a time did I go that I didn't bring home dozens or half a dozens the least of Frostings, Etc. It's always been a must to them. :D”

“If there was such a thing, this place would win the Best Cupcakes in Tampa award. They can make any flavor cupcake you want and if you help them design something new, they will let u name it.
Without a doubt, the cookie dough cupcake is one of the best things I have ever tasted.
I'm not a big fan of gluten free things, but was there after Valentine's day and they hadn't quite restocked yet, so got a gluten free cookie dough cupcake. It still beat any other cupcake place around, though it wasn't as good as the "real" thing.”
